Great history & architecture
The Mitchell House has a new event coordinator (Susan), who happened to be my wedding planner recently...and they are extremely lucky to have her. I would have my next event here just to work with her again! She is a brilliant event planner and absolutely the sweetest person. She made the wedding planning process so easy for me and everything turned out better than we could have imagined. I could go on for days about how much I love her, but suffice to say she is the best at what she does. She is creative, calming, budget-conscious, fun, organized, responsive, and all around wonderful!
I loved the charm of this beautiful mansion, almost a Victorian style. I photographed an LGBT wedding there recently and the house and it's grounds were well kept and beautiful. The space and bar area were well laid out, and I didn't see safety hazards for guests as I have some other places I've worked. The venue staff and bar / server staff were very professional and supportive of the couple, as well as their families and guests. We as service providers were made to feel welcome also. The history of the home have been preserved with today's amenities added. Great outdoor area too.
