After arriving at Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics at 9:30am for my appointment with Dr. Mountain, I was told that I was in the system for 10:30am with Dr. Cornelius. At 10:45 I had not been called back, so I politely asked the lady at the front desk how much longer I will be waiting. She disgruntledly advised that there is one patient ahead of me, and that I'm welcome to leave if I don't want to continue to wait. After two patients were called back, I was called back at 11:20am. The nurse spoke with me briefly and said, "The doctor will be right in." At 12:02pm I stepped out and asked an employee how much longer I will wait. She replied "Ten more minutes." At 12:12pm the doctor had not arrived. I asked to cancel my appointment. I was taken to an office where I was advised that the office regularly double books due to cancellations. While I understand this method, I do not agree with it. This represents a company that places more value on revenue than customer service, or, in this case, patients who are often in pain. In the medical profession, the most highly paid profession seeing mostly patients at or below the poverty line, I believe that they can afford to prioritize their patients over revenue. All in all, I felt that my time was not respected, and the level of professionalism was severely lacking. At the very least, the staff could have done a better job of communicating the extended wait time instead of leaving me to wonder after three hours how much longer I would wait to see a doctor.
Was not allowed to see the doctor. Was told the reason was because of a payment discrepancy between our insurance and their billing department. It would have been nice to know that before I waited 45 minutes and paid the co-pay. Not going back.
I recently visited the Lebanon office without an appointment due to having great pain in my knee and having to use a cane to walk. Even without an appointment they quickly worked me into their schedule. Everyone was pleasant and showed concern to help. The NP, Ann Beadle, took time to thoroughly explain what was happening. The whole staff was great and I would highly recommend this clinic over Tennessee Orthopedic. I have dealt with them and they are ok, but not as nice and thorough. One nurse at that clinic burned my leg when removing a cast and didn't even apologize. Just said -- oops!
Dr. Neely and Cornelius are the best! The office staff is first class! We love them and appreciate them so much!
One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a doctor's office. Long wait time, Nurse Practitioner did nothing to help me except offer physical therapy and did not take into consideration anything I said. Did she think I was just there for drugs? I don't know but it was a costly 2 hr experience that did Nothing for my severe back pain.
