Well done!!!
Its good to see that southern hospitality is still alive in TN and I would service my RV here anytime if I was closer.
I called Dunlap RV and the assistant service manger, Mike, was able to get us right in as soon as we hit their exit on the interstate. The problem was diagnosed immediately and the fix undertaken. Within an hour, we were on our way. Mike and his technician also spent time teaching and demonstrating to me some of the intricacies of the system and answered all questions. Amazing service. I have my own business and I hope that my employees treat my customers as well.
I brought my RV in for a scheduled service today. All the folks in the center were so helpful and friendly. Service manager Wes, along with Joe and Star we're extremely attentive to my repairs. I'm happy I made the decision to purchase my unit at Dunlap RV. The staff really treats you right and show a genuine appreciation for your business.
This is the second occasion to use Dunlap RV Lebanon in about 3 years. The first time resulted in a charge for well over $1000 with no real issues found...or at least fixed. The service department recorded repair of a kitchen area vent fan and it was clearly not touched and returned still broken. A deep cycle battery was installed on my 460 Ford chassis which failed due to improper application of the chassis battery (needed a standard vehicle battery and not a deep cycle - I discovered the problem after being stranded and they did credit me the price but I had to deal with it). Then they moved to their new/present location. My family needed the RV for a 1600 mile trip so I tried again in Sept. I took the RV to them per appointment time with a 10 day window for inspection/repair. On day 8 I received a call informing me they had lost the key ring for my RV and could not move it. 8 days to call and ask me if I had extra keys...I did not. So, they lost the only ignition, doors, bay hatches, gas door keys and waited 8 days (out of embarrassment by their own admission). A locksmith had to be called in and that was done at no charge to me, nor should it have been. The charge of $250 was assessed for a complete inspection. I had already replaced the roof vent fan at my own expense and that was never addressed. The LP cook top would not light after picking it up and it was returned for further repair...a new regulator at additional cost. Odd how that was not found in the inspection. The roof was also inspected. It leaks now and I'll take it somewhere else for repair. They checked it off on the inspection as okay. "Mike" verbally indicated that a cosmetic vent to cover a dent would be applied at no charge due to my first misfortune. I was charged for it. It was noted by the service tech that the tires had some checking but commented that he would not replace them now but to watch them. One failed in mid-Florida and all 6 were replaced on the way back to TN. Not their fault but part of the whole debacle. In summary, these folks talk the talk. Walk the walk? You decide. "Wes" and I went over the final bill and he did adjust one low-cost item by 50%...but added that amount later down the list for a minor something. It was clear he wanted payment and payment in full...now. I paid over the phone. The quality and value of their service department is suspect at best. I won't be back there for any reason. I would welcome a call from the owner so I could share this with him. They have my number. Remember? It was used more than a week after losing my keys.
We shopped around and almost got robbed by a competitor. I won't mention any names, but buyer beware of (CW) the competitor!! We shopped around and Dunlap RV brought my wife and I our little Jay Flight to Lebanon from Dunlap, Tn in January 2017 and made us "Campers"! We have been all over with it and could not be happier. Will come back to upgrade! Thanks guys! A+
I do not do online reviews very often, but I feel strongly that the excellent service at Dunlap RV needs to be mentioned for all to see. We were traveling on three week trip from New Hampshire to Nashville in our Jayco RV. At our previous stop in eastern TN, our front landing gear became stuck in the down position. I had to manually raise them in the middle of a torrential rain storm. I called Jayco and they gave us the name of Dunlap RV in Lebanon. I was not looking forward to two more weeks of camping and a long trip to NH without our landing gear working properly.
Everyone else at the dealership including Star were equally as nice and couldn't do enough to help.
Just looking at this time but could not have had a better salesman then Darren tell us about the features of each model. Very well informed and showed us coaches which he thought matched our criteria. Definitely knows his stuff.
