After talking with the manager at water and wastewater authority of Wilson County I realize that I have County water and city sewer service for my utilities . Both of which are running about the same at the present time this would not normally be an issue but my job takes me out of state quite often. For the more I was told if I made a payment online will not post at the appropriate date and then I would still be charged the reconnection fee, I call Charles Albert Belle with no answer Don chambers with no answer Brody Kane and Hale Moss both answered but I only spoke with one of them .all of which answer to the county mayor of Wilson County. Here's where things get fishy, if this is a state run facility for utilities and the head man is the county mayor why is it that I was told that I could not have 24 extra hours before they cut off my water for me and my children or accept a state voucher for a utility bill from mid cumberland . Furthermore,Billy Swindell is deceased and no longer on this board and is still listed as being on this board so who's taking these funds. Join with me around September 20th to go to the board and express the concerns over our devalued Wilson County customers.
Here is a government monopoly, that charges everyone a minimum $33 a month where the they use it or not. They acquire their water for free out of the Cumberland River. This government agency has no elected oversight or board members. They bring in millions of dollars every month approximately 30% of which is above their operating costs which goes into County government coffers. Water being a necessity of life should not be treated this way.
