This go around I have to say we were upset. My wife and I eat here about once a month service is usually tolerable but never superb just seems like none of the employees enjoy their job. However this visit ticked a nerve after waiting much longer than usual with not many in the dinning room our food finally came out. Problem 1 my wife had someone's hair baked into the cheese of her grinder. She took the grinder back to the counter where the employee didn't say a word to her just took the plate and walked to another employee and started talking. 20 minutes has now gone by so I get up to say something and the employee is pulling her grinder out of a to go box and serving it on a plate. Someone pulled it off the grill and tossed it under the warmer. And once again not even a hint of sorrow. No apology given for the hair or the forgotten grinder. I will go back but I wanted to make sure I let this be known so hopefully the owner can see what is happening here.
I really hate giving these guys a bad review. I wish it didn't have to be this way. I've lived in area for the past 7 years, and this used to be the go to place for pizza. My family and I don't eat out. I personally think all commercial and most mom and pop restaurants are not good, beyond not good they are typically pretty gross. I cook a lot, to say the least. On a rare occasion we order and pick up bellacino's pizza, in the past they were very good. Not "Joey's House of Pizza" good, but worth the price, the drive, and much better than your standard take out pizza.
Love their plain old cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza, BBQ chicken is tasty too. If your noticing a theme, you are correct we don't eat the grinders. Pizza is good, grinders not so much.
However recently this pizza joint has changed. It's disgusting. Literally nothing is as it was. I believe it's changed ownership. It's a real disappointment. Now if we want a good pizza we have to go to Nashville or Brentwood, which is BS. Thanks
Reasonably priced, large portions, adequate wait time, comfy dining atmosphere and friendly staff!
I got the Italian grinder, added my own vinegar an olive oil at home. I also got two kids pizzas and they both gave them a thumbs up. It took a bit longer than the 15 minutes I was told, but not by much. They don't make calzones like the store in Hermitage but I'll go back.
